How often should you get a haircut?

Most people wait until the cut looks bad. By then it has looked average for two weeks. The better question is how long your specific cut stays sharp, and that comes down to three things.

Fades: every two to three weeks

A skin fade grows out fast because the contrast is the whole point. Once the sides catch up to the top, the shape is gone. Two weeks keeps it crisp; three is the outer edge.

Scissor cuts: four to six weeks

Longer styles are forgiving. The weight moves, but the shape holds. Come in when it stops sitting the way it did on day one.

Beards: whenever the line goes

  • A beard line-up alone takes about forty minutes.
  • Book it with a haircut and we handle both in one sitting.
  • Between visits, keep the neckline clean yourself and leave the cheek line to us.

A good cut should look intentional for the whole time between visits, not just the first week.

If you are not sure, book a Haircut and we will work out the rhythm in the chair.
